INTRODUCTION OF FASHION TO A SMALL TOWN

One Sunday in July 1956 something new was introduced to a little town called

Santa Maria Infante. A young girl lived in America returned to Santa Maria to

join her fiancé in marriage. Her idea was to introduce a new style-wedding gown from the usual silk and satin gown with a long veil to a vision in lace and shoulder length veil, she also brought an American style wedding, from the photographer at home, bride’s maids with ushers, made of honor –best man and groom waiting at the Altar. All of this was not in practice at that time. The amazement of the priest and the people of the town was priceless.

After all of this, the lace wedding gown became popular.

This young lady that stared  that commotion in Santa Maria was no other then our own Tina Pernella who married Mario Orgera 52 years ago.
